Welcome to chinaknots, the Internet home of internationally acclaimed crafter-artist ShuMing, featuring a unique selection of fine Asian hand-tied & strung jade, amber, pearl, shell, antique, and semi-precious jewelry, custom embroidery, and unusual contemporary imports.

The majority of the stones and antiques used in these unique creations have been personally selected by ShuMing during her travels to the orient's many open jade and jewel markets.

Upon her return to the United States, ShuMing mixes and matches these treasures into unique hand-tied fashion articles using a variety of strong colored strings tied in complex ornamental knots. Alternatively, she may string these items in a more traditional manner using a variety of metallic clips, fasteners, and findings. Thus, each item or ensemble is is a completely unique creation and truly "One-of-a-Kind."

Complementing the extensive assortment of jewelry and accessories, chinaknots offers a variety of oriental silk gift presentation pouches as well as ornamental boxes and cases for that very special gift occasion.
