Worn on the ankle, wrist, or as an accessory, bangles usually consist of one or more objects hanging from a centraldecorative knot with 2 or more sets of hanging beads. Miniature bangles are beads crafted in a variety of novelty shapes and are mainly hung from keys, cell phones, purses, etc., as accents. Developed by a Japanese high tech company originaly for the computer industry, Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is a plastic material that can be molded into complex and beautiful shapes by the artist. Upon firing in a kiln, the PMC turns into a solid metallic object, faithfully reproducing the original sculpture in 0.998 fine silver or 22 caret gold. PMC clays shrink between 10-30% during firing, thus the artist must sculpt the work larger than the finished size, which permits additional attention to details. Certain types of PMC allow thin sheets of the clay to be folded into complex origami-like shapes that result in very unique creations. |

At request of several of our collector clients, chinaknots now offers a Certification of Authenticity service for items that are genuine creations of the artist(s). Concurrent with the certification is the issuance of a unique serial number and registration in the the Certified Creation Database. Each certificate is personally signed by ShuMing. Items eligible for certification are indicated by the symbol Ç. NOTE:
If you wish to have your eligible items certified, it is most economical
to purchase this service during the original purchase. Although certification
is usually available for previously purchased eligible items, the cost
